Seven years have past since the opening of Osso Buco. It has been a wonderful journey. However, after listening to our young customers (including our two sons) who nowadays have a great knowledge of food, we realised that our restaurant was a treat to them. They felt that Weybridge needed a casual eatery, with a fast & friendly service offering consistent good quality food. Thanks to the loyalty of our staff and being sure of their support, combined with the luck of a premises becoming available in Church Street, we decided to make our journey even more wonderful by creating Osso Buco's baby sister, Cantina41. Originally aimed at the younger generation it evolved into a comfortable eatery for all ages. An authentic wood-fired pizza oven, a pasta making machine, lots of ideas and the freshest of top quality Italian ingredients. Things were hotting up on Valentine's Day at Osso Buco when we were serving flaming B52s accompanied by Nutella-filled doughnuts. Our son, Arman, was on cocktails that evening and his recommendations also included Strawberry Bellinis and Raspberry Mojitos.
As usual on Valentine's Day we continue to offer our regular menu but create some specials for our customers to enjoy. We had lots of couples but it was great to welcome whole families as well who came to share the love.
Thanks to everyone who helped make our New Year's Eve party a tremendous success. Starting at 8pm, our last guests left at 2am. What a night! The dance floor was full all evening and Ali and the team created an amazing buffet to cater for all palates.It was a pleasure to host our loyal customers and friends. Choosing a photo for this post was difficult as most of them were taken quite late on when the champagne had been flowing for a while! So I have chosen this one of Ali, Claudia and Kinga early on looking suited and booted, ready for the party!
This is one of our most popular dishes on the Evening Menu. It's actually quite easy to make at home but the key is using a good white wine for the sauce and if you cannot find Fontina cheese, Emmenthal would make a good substitute.
Ingredients: Chicken, Parma ham, Fontina cheese, spinach, new potatoes, leeks, white wine & thyme.
